My youngest sister had just graduated from college, moved out of the house and got an apartment much closer to me. As the youngest among all of us, my sister was a bit spoiled from all of us, especially since there is a huge gap from our age compared to hers. She grew up being babied and I myself was actually curious as to whether she would be able to survive living on her own.
I came over the other day with stainless steel pots and pans in hand, because my mom had mentioned that my sister has not been eating well because she still have no utensils nor equipment available in her kitchen to use. My sister was so happy when I came over with my gifts, and told her that she would need to prioritize investing on these things. This way she can easily adjust even though she is far from home.
I had totally forgotten about a friend’s birthday last week, and I felt really guilty about the whole thing. I have been really busy organizing this big event at work that I failed to pencil in the party during Saturday. I had spent the entire day sleeping since I needed to catch up on some rest after having little sleep over the past few days.
Although my friend told me that it was fine and understandable, I knew that she was a bit disappointed when I was not able to make it to her party. I decided to bake her favorite red velvet cupcakes and placed them in a cupcake tier which I specifically got to match the goodies. My friend was so happy when I arrived to her apartment, and spent the entire day catching up on things.
I have this secret crush on my neighbor for quite some time now. Although we have remained good friends, both of us are a bit hesitant to take things further. At this point in time, I would not want to make a big fuss about the whole thing, especially since I would not want all the other people in the street talking about the two of us. Certainly I also would not want to make the first move.
When I found out that he was hospitalized, I immediately went to visit him to find out if he was okay. I knew that he did not have any relatives in town, so I figured he might need some company. I made my signature cupcakes and ordered unique cupcake wrapper to make it extra special. Bringing it over to him, he said that he was happy to see me in the hospital. Not giving any meaning to it, I simply considered the fact that he probably just enjoyed the cupcakes I got for him.
My friends would usually come over my house so we can talk and have a few laughs together. As a full time wife, I have the convenience of doing just about anything I wish to get involved in. My friends are the same enjoying the life I also live. Most of them would come over to my house for breakfast and we would spend the day chitchatting or heading out to do some early stroll in the nearby shopping center.
I would usually spend the early morning before they arrive preparing breakfast for my husband so he can eat heartily before he heads off for work. Using my Chef’s Secret fry pan I would prepare just about anything he wishes to have, from pancakes to French toast and all other breakfast items. After which I would get ready to meet with friends and look forward to a day of girl bonding.
My friends and I decided to throw a party since we would be celebrating our birthdays a few days apart from each other. Not only will this be hassle free, we also get to save a lot of money in the long run. We planned to get the party set up in one of our friend’s homes since he has a great big backyard which can accommodate all of our friends.
What party would not be complete without ribs, steaks, burgers and sausages? We are planning to get the newly purchased Jim Beam 4 Rack Digital Smoker of my friend to good use. What we need left to stack up on are ice cold beers and sodas, and everything is sure to turn out fantastic. No party would be complete without great food and great friends in the comforts of one’s own home for convenience.
There are those of us who are passionate about baking. This is actually an exact science; we would need to follow the exact measurements and procedures in order for everything to work perfectly. Otherwise, we are to expect that everything will definitely go wrong. This is the reason why most people are quite hesitant about baking.
Like any other passion, this hobby actually requires a number of equipment. Baking enthusiasts would also need to stock up on baking supplies to make sure that they have everything they need with them. Since this requires accurate measurements at all times, stocks of ingredients must always be made available to prevent bad products in the end. One would surely get frustrated with taking in the effort and having everything thrown to the bin because the recipe was not followed.
As a full time mother, I would usually look for ways by which my kids and I can bond. There are a number of games and activities we have played in the past, but nowadays they tend to get pretty bored easily and I need to find new ways on how to spend out afternoons. This is something I have always envisioned myself doing, to be the perfect wife and mother to my husband and kids.
My friend told me to why not start teaching them how to bake. After watching Junior MasterChef, she had encouraged her kids to start on with cooking and baking lessons as well. The first project I have planned is to make cupcakes, so I got some ingredients, cupcake holders and other materials I would need for our first baking session. We had a lot of fun that day decorating our own cupcakes. Aside from instilling creativity, we were also able to spend quality time together.
My family will be visiting me a few weeks from now. I cannot contain my excitement since I would usually be the one coming home to visit. This is the first time they will get to see my home and what I have accomplished for myself through the years that I have worked far away from them. I have cleared up everything and make sure that all the rooms in my home are clean and will pass my mom’s standards.
I wanted to show my parents my wonderful backyard so I decided to hold the first meal there. I already ordered some new barbeque utensil sets which would work perfectly with my grill. My family loves steaks and all things grilled, so this is a good option to work with. I hope that they will enjoy their stay here and I could not wait to finally see them here.
After much enthusiasm and encouragement from my friends, I finally decided to turn my hobby into a full time business. My friends absolutely love my baked goods and pastries which they would usually order from me to give out to their colleagues and friends for Christmas. Most of them are saying that I should do this full time, since I have always enjoyed baking since I was a little girl.
I decided to take on a chance and spend a part of my savings in order to invest on a bigger oven and some new bakeware sets. I worked with a number of suppliers to send me my baking supplies and other materials which I would use to package my goods. My friend even made an online account for me so I can market the same on the internet. So far, so good; I am hoping that things turn for the better and make me realize this was the best decision I ever made.
My eldest daughter has just recently graduated from Julliard. We are all very happy and excited for her since this has been her lifelong dream. Music indeed runs through her veins, and she has long been enjoying music even before she can do anything. When I was told that she made it to this prestigious school, I already could not contain my happiness and pride for what she has achieved.
Now that she has graduated, I would need to throw a huge party for her. She deserves to celebrate after working so hard. Since all her friends are coming over, I made everything more convenient by making cupcakes instead of the usual graduation cake. I ordered some graduation cupcake wraps to go with the theme, so it would be much convenient to serve and pass on to the guests later on.
